Scalp Hair Micro Pigmentation (SMP) - Cosmetic Tattooing Clinic Milton Keynes
We operate a cosmetic tattooing & skin clinic based in Milton Keynes specialising in scalp-micro pigmentation (SMP) and other cosmetic tattooing treatments which are available to all residents of the UK. Many men as early as their twenties, can find their hairline starting to recede. The result of this can often cause a lot of embarrassment, loss of confidence and can make a person you look a lot older than their years.
Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) is a permanent option that recreates the look of a very short hairstyle. A new hairline can be recreated, a receded hairline can be altered, and baldness can become a thing of the past. This treatment is an ultimate and modern solution to hair loss in both men and women. Scalp micro pigmentation (SMP) is a permanent option that recreates the missing density for those who are going or have gone bald. A trained technician using a microneedle, deposits a natural pigment into the scalp and thousands of tiny little "dots" that replicate hair follicles, are tattooed onto the scalp, giving a very realistic appearance of a "buzz" hairstyle.
About Male pattern baldness
Male pattern baldness is the most common type of hair loss in men, and it is related to your genes and male sex hormones. It usually follows a pattern of receding hairline and hair thinning on the crown and is caused by hormones and genetic predisposition. Each strand of hair you have sits in a tiny hole (cavity) in the skin called a follicle. Generally, baldness occurs when the hair follicle shrinks over time, resulting in shorter and finer hair. Eventually, the follicle does not grow new hair. The follicles remain alive, which suggests that it is still possible to grow new hair.
The typical pattern of male baldness begins at the hairline. The hairline gradually moves backward (recedes) and forms an "M" shape. Eventually, the hair becomes finer, shorter, and thinner, and creates a U-shaped (or horseshoe) pattern of hair around the sides of the head.
Common facts about baldness
- 40% of men have noticeable hair loss by the age of 35
- Normal hair loss is considered to be 100 hairs per day, based on the average scalp containing 100,000 hair follicles.
- 75% of British men believe hair loss cannot be prevented.
